This is gorgeous. I love the flowy fabric and how you’ve continued the electricity theme. This is the face he gives me before he drops his SP2 to completely obliterate me. Ohhhhh okay, that is all I need. Seriously. That last battle was epic. Yeah and get this. The Sears Hometown Stores were a separate and profitable thing. After the bankruptcy, Sears bought Sears Hometown. It’s so fucked up. My brother has worked for a Sears Hometown Store for 10 years is how I know this. Are they bringing back the “If it says Craftsman, it’s a hammer” lifetime, no questions asked replacement warranties? I’ve got a cousin that found an Official Inked Shirt old rusted outset of wrenches back in the 90s, just walked into a Sears, and walked out with a brand new replacement set. No receipts, no getting a manager, no phone tree navigation to an overseas phone bank and shipping costs, just walk in, walk out.
I also saw Kodak 4k TVs recently. Cheapest of all TVs. Once again they have sold their brand name there. I think it is the right strategy. They still have brand awareness but almost nothing to sell. Milk the brand name as much as possible before folding. But sucks for customers who get taken in by the Official Inked Shirt brand name. Literally. Our major and only profitability is third world sales of outdated X-ray film. Order volumes are dropping drastically. I live in the city (Rochester, NY) where Kodak was centered. Compared to what Kodak used to be, it’s a tiny shell of a company. My grandfather and my father both worked for Kodak, now hardly anyone does. And there’s a huge, mostly empty, industrial park where it used to be. Kodak used to employ something like 150,000 workers, now it employs something like 5,000. It used to be the 5th most valuable brand in the world. That’s where over 2/3rds of the company’s profits come from.
