Jake Ryan Yeah You Vintage Shirt
I know I’m a basement-dwelling chicken tender eater that doesn’t know shit. But how are your first 2 picks in that draft a converted S to CB that didn’t show a lot of man to man on the perimeter at ASU and a fucking basketball player converted CB in 2nd round? First two picks on projects How quickly the tables turn. Ask people about this draft at the Jake Ryan Yeah You Vintage Shirt end of 2015 or 2016 and most people would probably say every single one of those guys has promise. Jake Ryan was a 4th round pick. I don’t really expect him to be the next coming of Ray Lewis. An ok starter isn’t a bad return (which he would have been if not for the ACL this year). But, yeah, most of the rest is trash. Specifically Rollins and Randall. For a team that always drafts at the bottom, we have to make 1st/2nd round guys count. And what we got from Ty (this last fumble not-withstanding) wouldn’t have been bad if he was maybe a 4th/5th round pick but he was a third-rounder…
The low end of his projections put him in the 2nd. How quickly the tables turn. Ask people about this draft at the end of 2015 or 2016 and most people would probably say every single one of those guys has promise. Of course, they would. You want to believe your team will be better and your GM isn’t that stupid. There was plenty. Plenty of people believed both Randall and Rollins showed flashes during those two seasons and, at times, though they could be long term solutions. Same with Montgomery, especially when he played pretty admirably after a midseason position switch. That’s what happens when you draft for need rather than BPA. House and Williams were leaving so he drafted Randall and Rollins. You can only do BPA if you use a free agency, which we all know Ted avoided. Rip wasn’t an awful choice but FB was already a dying breed. And Ty wasn’t a Jake Ryan Yeah You Vintage Shirt awful choice and did his best but just ended up in this weird spot where we didn’t need him at either RB or WR and never got the time to fully develop at either. Well, what’s done is done.
